The all-new 2026 Ford Maverick — now with Hybrid AWD and new Lobo performance trim
What’s New on the 2026 Ford Maverick
The 2026 model year introduces several major changes. These updates make the Maverick more competitive and add options requested by owners across the country.
⚡
Hybrid AWD Available
The 2.5L Hybrid is now available with all wheel drive — no more choosing between efficiency and traction.

Sport truck with lowered suspension, 7-speed automatic, and torque vectoring AWD for on-road performance.
🔧
2.0L EcoBoost FWD Returns

New Powertrain Choices
2.0L EcoBoost FWD Returns
This gas engine is reintroduced as a lower cost option on XL and XLT trims. It sits one thousand dollars below the standard hybrid and provides a new entry point for shoppers who prefer a traditional engine or fleet buyers wanting a simple configuration.
2.5L Hybrid AWD is Now Available
This is one of the biggest updates for 2026. Drivers no longer have to choose between hybrid efficiency and all wheel drive capability. Hybrid AWD fills a major gap in the lineup and is expected to be a popular choice for Black Hills drivers needing traction in winter.
New Maverick Lobo Trim
The all-new Maverick Lobo — a street performance truck with sport-tuned suspension
The Lobo is a sport truck developed for on road performance. It includes a lowered ride height, sport tuned suspension, unique 19 inch wheels, performance brakes and a 7 speed automatic transmission exclusive to this trim. It gives the Maverick two distinct top end models, with the Tremor focused on off road capability and the Lobo focused on street handling.
