Driving Health and Wellness
Hi, I’m Marsha, the receptionist at Wareing Sturgis Ford.
Here’s a good reminder I read recently:
Don’t forget to add yourself to the list of things you need to take care of today.
No matter what you’re doing—taking kids to swimming lessons, caring for patients, delivering packages, baling hay, fixing fence, checking cattle, serving customers, or, like me, answering the phone all day—we all have just one body to take care of.
And most of us have a lot on our plate.
🌿 Marsha’s Wellness Tips
- 💧 Drink some water.
- 🚶 Stretch whenever you stop.
- 😊 Relax your shoulders.
- 🚗 Adjust your seat before every drive.
- 💆 And if your Ford has Active Motion seats…don’t forget to turn them on!
I’ve discovered there are little ways to work self-care into our daily routines.
For example, to help with “tech neck,” I recently rearranged my desk and moved my phone from the left side to the right.
Just one small adjustment, and I’m already happier—and answering the phone twice as fast.
But sometimes life puts us behind the wheel for hours at a time.
With Meade County being the largest county in South Dakota, that’s especially true for many of our ranching families. A trip to Lynn’s Dakotamart, the clinic in Sturgis, or even Wareing Sturgis Ford can be a long drive. Add in the hours spent on tractors, combines, and other equipment, and there’s only so much repositioning can do.
That’s why I’d like to visit today about Ford’s Active Motion massage seats.
💡 Did You Know?
Ford Active Motion seats don’t simply vibrate—they use strategically placed air bladders that gently inflate and deflate to create a relaxing massage while you drive.
Many people think massage seating is reserved for luxury SUVs, but that’s not the case.
Ford offers Active Motion seating in vehicles many of our customers drive every day, including:
- King Ranch F-150
- Platinum F-150
- King Ranch Super Duty
- Platinum Super Duty
- Platinum Expedition
The system offers multiple massage styles, adjustable intensity, and separate settings for both the driver and front passenger.
It also includes heated and ventilated seats for year-round comfort.
Whether you’re hauling cattle across western South Dakota, commuting to Rapid City, or making several trips to ball practice each week, these features can help make long days behind the wheel a little easier.
Benefits of Active Motion Seating
- 💆 Helps reduce lower back fatigue
- 🩸 Encourages healthy circulation
- 😊 Helps reduce stress during long drives
- 🔥 Heated seats for winter comfort
- ❄️ Ventilated seats for hot summer days
- 🚗 Adjustable massage zones and intensity
Perfect For…
- 🐄 Ranchers
- 🚛 Long-distance commuters
- 🏕 Campers and travelers
- 👨👩👧 Busy families
- 🏗 Contractors
- Anyone spending hours behind the wheel
Massage seating helps reduce lower back and neck discomfort from long periods of sitting. Better circulation can reduce muscle soreness and fatigue, leaving you more comfortable and focused on the road ahead.
And feeling better usually means having more energy, a better mood, and a little less stress.
“Once I tried the massage seats, there was no going back.”
I’d love to visit with you more about this, but I think there’s a King Ranch Super Duty on the lot that needs a little attention.
While I’m there…maybe I’ll investigate whether they make Active Motion office chairs.
For my boss, of course.
If you’ve never experienced Ford’s Active Motion seating, stop by anytime. We’d love to show you how it works. We currently have several vehicles equipped with this feature.
Thanks for reading.
