From the Front Desk: Load Up for Common Good

Greetings from the front desk at Wareing Sturgis Ford. There’s an old saying about the importance of coming together, staying together, and working together. Over the past year, Ford has put that idea to work in communities around the world.

Ford Building Together brings Ford employees, dealerships, volunteers, and nonprofit partners together to support local communities. The effort includes work with organizations such as the American Red Cross, Feeding America, Habitat for Humanity, and Team Rubicon.

During its first year, that work took many different forms. Ford responded to disasters in Central Texas, the Philippines, and other areas; thousands of employee volunteers completed more than 175 community service projects across 32 countries; and Ford dealers around the world collected more than 2 million pounds of food for local food banks and pantries.

Now the food drive is returning for another September, and Wareing Sturgis Ford is proud to participate.

How to Participate

What to Donate

We’re collecting non-perishable food items throughout September. Suggested donations include:

• Canned tuna, chicken, or salmon
• Soups, chili, and stews
• Peanut butter and other nut butters
• Cereal and protein bars
• Pasta and rice
• Pasta or tomato sauce and canned tomatoes
• Canned vegetables and fruit
• Dry beans
• Pancake mix and syrup
• Non-fat milk powder

Together, we can make a big difference right here in our community. Your donations will go to the Sturgis Kiwanis Food Pantry and from there help people in our community who need them.
