Keep Learning, Stay Young

Hi, I’m Marsha, the receptionist at Wareing Sturgis Ford.

Today I’d like to share a quote from Henry Ford:

“Anyone who keeps learning stays young.”

I have to wonder how young I would be if I took the time to learn all the features of the technology I use every day.

Speaking of technology, and following Henry Ford’s advice, I spent a little time this week learning about the tech features in a beautiful Carbonized Gray 2026 Ford F-150 parked near my desk.

This truck has the Lariat trim package, but many of the features I discovered are also available on XLT, STX, King Ranch, and other F-150 trims.

I was amazed by what I found, and I think Henry Ford would be pretty impressed too.

Whether you use your truck on a ranch, a job site, or for family adventures, today’s technology is designed to make everyday life a little easier.

Here are just a few things you can do from the driver’s seat:

  • Customize your touchscreen and information cards to display the vehicle information most important to you.
  • Create up to five personal keyless-entry codes, allowing temporary access for family members or trusted users.
  • Program seat and steering wheel positions to individual key fobs so the truck automatically remembers your preferences.
  • Use switch-inhibit settings to prevent doors from being unlocked from the inside, an added safety feature for children and pets.
  • Activate Easy Entry and Exit, which moves the driver’s seat and steering wheel to make getting in and out more comfortable.
  • Choose whether remote unlock opens only the driver’s door or all doors.
  • Customize exterior lighting and lamp-delay settings to help illuminate your path when entering or unloading the vehicle after dark.
  • Connect up to 10 devices using Ford Connectivity features and Wi-Fi capabilities. What would Henry think of that?
  • Use voice commands for navigation, climate control, media, phone calls, and texting.
  • Activate Valet Mode to protect personal information when someone else is driving your vehicle.
  • Set exit-warning alerts that notify occupants when traffic or hazards are approaching as a door is opened.
  • Control zone lighting to illuminate specific areas around the truck.

And that’s just the beginning.

There are also dozens of technology features dedicated to driver assistance, towing, and cruise control.

For example, you can customize speed-assist settings, lane-centering functions, multiple cruise-control options, and save profiles for up to ten different trailers.

There is so much more available than I ever realized.

Henry Ford also said:

“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always be where you’ve always been.”

Technology is changing at an incredible pace. If you’re not familiar with all the features available in today’s vehicles, stop by and let us show you what they can do.

And if finding time for a visit is difficult, there are plenty of helpful Ford technology walk-through videos available online.

Keep learning. Stay young.

Thanks for reading.
